What does the 168 stand for in Project 168?
168 Hours in the week. Students are going to class and participating in their normal activities, but are you taking advantage of the remaining hours in the week?
Where do I go to log my experiences?
WVU Engage | Use the drop down menu at the top right corner of Engage, select “Paths”, and it will take you directly to our page to begin logging your experiences!
How do I prove that I attended something?
Some examples include uploading a photo of you at the event, email confirmations, and reflections (6-8 sentences usually).

How do I know what to complete?
Our website showcases our requirements and elective options for each competency area. We also send a weekly newsletter on Thursday afternoons highlighting events for the following week on our campus that count towards Project 168.
Can I begin participating at any time?
Yes! Project 168 is completely self-paced. Students can begin Project 168 at any point and backlogged activities will count from your freshman year forward.
Do I have to be an undergraduate student to take advantage of Project 168?
No! Any WVU student at any level can choose to participate.
What do I get for completing Project 168?
Upon completion, students are invited to join the 168 Society- a leadership honorary that is specific to WVU. Students participating in Project 168 are also awarded a co-curricular transcript. This highlights all your out-of-classroom successes! Students also receive a stole to wear at graduation, a padfolio with their co-curricular transcript, and are pinned at the 168 Society induction ceremony.Why should I get involved?
Besides having fun and meeting new friends, co-curricular learning can encourage students’ engagement that can shape their degree completion and post college success.
Are there required meetings?
Project 168 meets at least once a month, but they are not required for completion of the program.
Am I able to log something that is not explicitly listed on the website?
Yes! Students may substitute their electives in place of one explicitly stated in any of the content areas by providing justification through WVU Engage. This allows students to personalize the Project 168 experience to match their passions and interests.
