Take Your First StepAdd purpose to your outside-the-classroom experiences while bringing WVU’s core values to life.
Take Your First StepThere are 168 hours in a week, and the Mountaineer experience will make the most of them. The 10,080 minutes that make up your week include going to class (of course), but these are also the moments when you will lead, serve, compete, create and sleep.
Learn more about Project 168At WVU, what a student learns outside of the classroom is just as important as what they learn during class. Project 168 is a way to formally recognize this and provide a credential for extracurricular effort. Project 168 is a self-paced, co-curricular experience that will offer a minimum of 50 opportunities to engage in ten competency areas.
Explore the ProgramWhen the requirements for each competency area have been met, students receive a co-curricular transcript printed on official WVU transcript paper and are invited to join the 168 Society, a new honor society. These accomplishments can be used for graduate or professional school applications and impress potential employers.

Participating in activities out of the classroom led me to making lifelong friends with similar interests.
Student Profile
I got involved with Project 168 because I saw it as an opportunity to learn more about everything our University has to offer, while allowing me to immerse myself in the Morgantown community.
